I found the book "Painted Scrapbook Pages" by Mylinda van Zee very inspiring.
She also has a motivating Blog and website.
I found some interesting ideas to make background papers and clever hints.
The book is easy to read and well illustrated. The materials used are mostly inexpensive.
I tried the design concept " magic of three"
, painted some card-stock and it worked well.
